Fencing Forward

Giving back through fencing

Fence-A-Thon 2026

Tommy JonesTommy Jones

I’m fencing in this year’s Fence-a-thon to raise money for Fencing Forward. When I started, I didn’t own my own equipment, and I wasn’t sure I would stick with it. The coaches and the other fencers made room for me anyway. Practice became the part of the week I looked forward to: learning a new action, losing a bout, and coming back the next day a little better.

Fencing Forward is how more kids get that chance. Gifts on this page help pay for equipment, coaching, and a place to train, especially for fencers who couldn’t start on their own. I’m setting a goal because I want to give something back to the program that got me started.

If you can give, thank you. If you can share this page with someone else, that helps too. I’ll keep posting updates here as the Fence-a-thon gets closer.

Thank you to everyone who has already given. I’m halfway through my training for the Fence-a-thon and feeling ready. If you haven’t had a chance to donate yet, the link on this page goes straight to my goal. Every gift counts.
